In the Spotlight

I had the great opportunity to talk on the phone with Claudia, a Socially-Conscious Change Maker (SCCM) like me. When we started our conversation, we both did not know this, but we intuitively knew that we both would connect with Who We Are.

I started to tell her about my story and how the Positive iMPACT Movement came into creation.

I told her why and how I had created my initial project and why I had thought I was a social entrepreneur. I spoke to her about my struggle of finding my way in the social entrepreneurship world, in defining 20 versions of a business model that continued changing, in how I had lost all my savings by creating custom websites that just continued needing to change, because my project continued changing and adjusting to the people I was serving and to my vision. I told her about my feelings of insecureness on how I was working and I let her know how I started understanding that the problem wasn’t me. I spoke to her about my need to continue evolving and looking into my inside to define my outside; my creation.

My project’s final transformation happened about 1 year ago: It evolved into the Positive iMPACT Movement. I could say that I also did transition from a social entrepreneur to a Socially-Conscious Change Maker. However, I always have been a Socially-Conscious Change Maker, I just did not know it.

We are a special breed of social entrepreneurs who pursue our Power of Being: freedom to be Who We Are and Create What We Love.

I am deeply grateful for Claudia having shown me the need to continue sharing my story and experience as a Socially-Conscious Change Maker in today’s world. I am very thankful for the beautiful and sincere conversation we had. I am honoured for her gratefulness towards what I do; I just cannot grasp her words of appreciation for me taking the spotlight and openly talk about us, the Socially-Conscious Change Makers. She felt relieved that there are others like her. She now knows the she belongs to this crowd of amazing human-beings who change the world through their own change.

Reality is that we are not alone. We are many, we just don’t know it.

With love, JEM
