Daring to Be Who I Am, anywhere and anytime

Some of you might wonder why I am writing about Socially-Conscious Leadership when I have an Engineering background, and am working in IT consultancy. What I tell you is that it does not matter where you work, because when daring to be who you are and to create what you love, you are in integrity for who you are, anywhere and anytime.

Certainly, being a Socially-Conscious Leader is new for me. It's not that I thought for myself to be a Leader. Usually, we tend to denigrate ourselves (a bit!?). I was firstly thinking of myself as a change maker and not as a Leader (how could I be a Leader?!). But what I've learned through the Positive iMPACT Movement (PiMOV) is that everyone is a Socially-Conscious Leader when being in freedom to be who you are and to create what you love. This is the way to positively impact the world by being the change you want to see.

I do not recall when I started showing myself as who I truly am. I guess it started gradually, whilst having been exploring, experiencing and practicing it in the community. At PiMOV we are co-learning and co-evolving to live from the inside-out (in connection to the heart) in love and in togetherness, peeling off the patterns and beliefs that do not belong to us anymore. We do so through conversations in which we grow in love, in value and in respect for ourselves, giving and receiving through our being and doing, reflecting back and integrating what we co-learn, challenging ourselves to expand our positive impact through our creations, inspiring and empowering everyone to continue discovering their power of being, and co-creating a better world through all of it.

I could say that much of what I do in the movement, and outside of it when having conversations with other Socially-Conscious Leaders, as well as in the podcasts I co-create with amazing PiMOVERs, I am also applying at work, in the IT consultancy, since this is who I am today.

My background is Systems Engineering and I have worked for many years as a SAP Consultant. From the beginning of my professional career I started managing people (and projects). My colleagues have always been my first priority, no matter what. If they grew in motivation, and specially in what they loved to do, the project successfully evolved as well.

However, throughout those years I also experienced lots of drawbacks because not every boss was aligned to my mentality (and being). And myself, I did draw back myself too many times, because I still wasn't valuing myself enough, and I did not yet consciously live from the inside-out.

It took me a while to be a Socially-Conscious Leader. First, I had to get to know what it truly means since I defined it through my intuitive knowing. I started observing my surrounding, specifically applying it to people that I felt were Socially-Conscious Leaders. I intuitively defined the features of these Leaders, and started reflecting these back to what I was discovering in me and in the members of the movement. I also in the meanwhile had personal and professional experiences that supported me with this understanding, which in turn then I applied in the community through our co-learning, co-evolving and co-creation process.

I started being the change that I want to see in this world, whilst  daring to be who I am and to create what I love, no matter what. I tried to apply this everywhere, because I was (and am still!) exploring, experiencing and practicing to be and to create in freedom.

I can now see the transformation that I have endured, inside and outside of me. I see how I can positively impact by being and doing through my heart. For me, my integrity for who I am is vital, valuing and respecting myself foremost, which leads me to respecting the growth and the dignity of everyone else. How could I not do that?!

Today, living from the inside-out is a key aspect of who I am. I am connecting to the heart every time and everywhere I can. Surely, I have much more to learn, much more to evolve, much more to discover from who I am and from the Socially-Conscious Leadership I practice and promote.

I am certainly not doing this alone, I do it through the relationships I hold. For me, PiMOV and my work are essential in this evolution, because of the people I relate with: Amazing beings who, consciously or unconsciously, allow me to explore, experience, practice and expand this Socially-Conscious world that I envision.

This is the why I am writing about Socially-Conscious Leadership. I envision a world without governments, and you? I am daring to be who I am and to create what I love to show you how you can do the same. The world needs you, and me!

If you want to know more about Socially-Conscious Leadership, I’d be more than happy for you to join me in β€œThe Path of Socially-Conscious Leadership” workshop!

With lots of love and gratitude, JEM
